The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a score of 65, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's general score of 58.8. Both devices we are comparing here have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a newer 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0, so it offers some additional features and performance improvements. Although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is newer than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, it's noticeably heavier and thicker.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has a graphics processor. Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 32 GB. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a bit better battery life than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). They have a 3 MP back-facing camera, the same video resolution and the same video frame rates.
