Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, getting a 65 score against 58.6. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the newer 4.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 version, offering some additional features and some performance improvements. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) design is newer and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab's, but it is a lot heavier.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has an extra graphics processor, a greater amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a little bit better display than Galaxy Tab, because although it has a quite lower pixels density, it also counts with a higher 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and a really larger display.
Galaxy Tab features a superior camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). They have the same video definition, the same video frame rate and a back-facing camera with a 3 mega pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab counts with a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a really longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab, giving up some features and specs.
