The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a score of 61.4, which is a little bit better than Alcatel 3T 8's overall score of 58.6. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has an older 4.1 version and Alcatel 3T 8 has Android 8.1 Oreo. Despite being the best portable tablet in our current comparison, it must be told that it's also notably older, extremely heavier and thicker.
Alcatel 3T 8 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) have really similar screens, because although the Alcatel 3T 8 has a much smaller screen, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a better screen density. Alcatel 3T 8 has a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM.
The Alcatel 3T 8 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Alcatel 3T 8 also has a back camera with a much higher 5 MP resolution. The Alcatel 3T 8 features a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much longer battery life than Alcatel 3T 8, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
