Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), getting a 61.4 score against 59.7. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has older 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a much heavier tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but both of them have the same thickness.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has more processing cores and more RAM. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also counts with a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has 24 GB more internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1000 GB. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) shoots better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a much higher 3 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much longer battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
