Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is just a bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8, getting a 61.4 score against 61.2. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s body is notably older, a lot thicker and much heavier than Asus MeMO Pad 8. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a superior performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has more processing cores and more RAM memory. Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much higher pixels count per inch of screen.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a much bigger memory for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much better battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a slightly better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, although it has a lot less mega pixels camera in the back and a worse 1280x720 video quality.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Asus MeMO Pad 8, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
