Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a very superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface RT. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a camera with way more mega pixels.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
