Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), having a score of 66.7 against 61.4. Samsung Ativ Tab's design is just a bit lighter and just a little thinner than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), although both were released only a few months apart. Samsung Ativ Tab has Windows RT OS, and Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) works with Android 4.1 OS.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has an additional graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Ativ Tab has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a bit higher 768 x 1366 pixels resolution and a bit better pixels density.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 64 GB, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has more internal storage. Samsung Ativ Tab features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has 8200mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) shoots slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, although it has a way less megapixels resolution camera and a lower 1280x720 (HD) video definition.
The Samsung Ativ Tab costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but it's still a great deal, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
