Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 V, with a general score of 61.4 against 58.5. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a a lot heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab 3 V, but they have the same thickness. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4 version.
The Galaxy Tab 3 V has a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a really smaller display and a way lower resolution of 1024 x 600px, it also counts with a little better screen density. The Galaxy Tab 3 V counts with just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), although it has a lower number of cores , they both have a 1 GB RAM memory.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) captures slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a back facing camera with a way higher 3 mega pixels resolution and a way better 1280x720 (HD) video definition. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a bit more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 V, and although they both have exactly the same 8 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has an external SD slot that allows up to 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a 94% more battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, resigning a couple specs and features.
