Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), with a 67 score against 61.4. These tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a much lighter device than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but they are equally thin.
The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a higher pixels density. The Galaxy Tab Active has a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab Active also has 8 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a larger number of cores, a graphics co-processor and 512 MB more RAM. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active captures a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a back facing camera with more mega-pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is more expensive than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
