Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), with a 64.9 score against 61.4. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a noticeably newer portable tablet, and it is also extremely lighter and a bit thinner than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both tablets we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a just a bit less pixels per display inch, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also counts with a bigger screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a way better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a back camera with way more mega-pixels.
Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a superior battery duration than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because it has a 40 percent bigger battery size.
