The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a general score of 62.7, which is just a bit better than the HP ProPad 600's 58.2 score. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with Android 4.0 OS, and HP ProPad 600 counts with Windows 8.1 OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 design is somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner than HP ProPad 600, although it was released about 17 months before.
The HP ProPad 600 features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and 2 more cores. The HP ProPad 600 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a display of the same size, the HP ProPad 600 also has a lot better 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a much greater pixels density.

If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy HP ProPad 600, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
