The Microsoft Surface Pro has an overall score of 63.2, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's 62.7 overall score. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 works with Android 4.0 operating system. Microsoft Surface Pro's construction is notably heavier and extremely thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
The Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a much better resolution of 1080 x 1920px, more pixels per inch of display and a little bigger display. Microsoft Surface Pro features much more memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 120 GB more internal storage capacity.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, giving up a couple features and specs.
