Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a score of 62.7, which is a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 score. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 works with Android 4.0 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT OS. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 construction is lighter but just a little bit thicker than the Microsoft Surface RT, and both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.
Microsoft Surface RT features a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a much better graphics processor running at 520 MHz, more processing cores (although they are slower) and 1 GB more RAM memory. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a screen that is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 one, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a little less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a quite bigger display and a slightly higher resolution of 768 x 1366.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a way better resolution back-facing camera. The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a much better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Microsoft Surface RT, resigning some specs and features.
