Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, getting a overall score of 68.7 against 62.7. Both tablets in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a more recent 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a notably lighter and thinner tablet device than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, although both of them were only released with a couple months difference.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a greater pixels density. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 512 MB more RAM memory and a much better graphics processor working at 1.06 GHz.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures a lot better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a camera with much more megapixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 32 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a much longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 57 percent bigger battery size.
Even being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is also by far the cheapest one, making this tablet a no doubt choice.
