Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, getting a 67 score against 62.7. The Galaxy Tab Active body has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but it's a lot lighter. Both tablets in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0, so it provides you a lot of extra features and optimized performance.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a higher screen pixels density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has 16 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab Active's CPU is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 one, although the Galaxy Tab Active also has a much better 450 megahertz graphics processing unit, a greater amount of RAM memory and 2 more cpu cores (although slower). The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a camera in the back with more MP.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a much better battery life than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active costs more than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
