The iPod Touch 5th Generation is a noticeably thinner and way lighter tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), even when both were released with only a few months difference. IPod Touch 5th Generation counts with iOS 7.x OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with Android 4.1 OS.

The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
