The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a global score of 60.7, which is slightly better than the Asus VivoTab's 57.5 general score. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 operating system, and Asus VivoTab has Windows 8 operating system. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and Asus VivoTab were only released 4 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) construction is somewhat thicker but noticeably lighter than Asus VivoTab.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a little more vivid screen than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a lot lower 600 x 1024px resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display. The Asus VivoTab features a bit more memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
