Comparison review

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a 62.6 score against 60.7. Both tablets in this review have Android operating system, but the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has older 4.0 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version. Even though the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) were released only a couple months apart, Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's design is somewhat thinner but somewhat heavier than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has an extra GPU. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a larger screen, a higher resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a just a little higher number of pixels per inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has an external SD slot that supports up to 32 GB.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's battery life is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) one, although the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has just 3960mAh of battery size. Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 captures a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also has a way more MP back-facing camera.

Although Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
