Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a score of 64.8 against 60.7. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) were released with only 6 months difference, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is just a little lighter and much thinner. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has an older 4.0.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a little bit larger screen, a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a graphics processing unit.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a much bigger storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have an external SD slot that holds up to 32 GB, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has 32 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features greater battery performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) shoots better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both of them have the same video frame rates, the same video resolution and a back camera with a 3 megapixels.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 7.7, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), resigning a couple specs and features.
