Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has an overall score of 61.7, which is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s global score of 58.6. Despite of the fact the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is way older and just a little bit thicker than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's design is still just a bit lighter. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has older 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a little sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it has a much lower 600 x 1024 resolution, a little bit less pixels per display inch and a bit smaller display. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with more CPU cores and a greater amount of RAM.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a very superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB and 24 GB more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with a better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE also has a camera with way more MP.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
