The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's overall score of 61.7. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a noticeably newer and much thinner tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, but it is just a little bit heavier. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1, so it provides a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a quite better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more RAM and more processing cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much greater display pixel density, a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a bigger display.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 video resolution and a lot more MP camera. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with much more memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
