Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, getting a 61.7 score against 60.5. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has older 4.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Even though Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is much older and way thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, it's construction is still lighter.

Galaxy Tab A 9.7's processor is very similar to the processor in Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with 512 MB more RAM and a larger number of cores. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a really smaller display and a bit lower 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a greater pixel density.

Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, although it has a camera with a much worse resolution and a worse 1280x720 video quality.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a 50 percent greater battery size.
