Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, getting a general score of 67 against 61.7. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 version. Galaxy Tab Active's construction is extremely newer and a little thinner, but somewhat heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a quite larger screen, a just a bit greater pixel density and a higher resolution of 1280 x 800. The Galaxy Tab Active has a superior storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab Active also has 16 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a better graphics processing unit running at 450 megahertz, more RAM memory and 2 more cores. The Galaxy Tab Active has just a bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, although it has a lower video resolution and a lesser megapixels back facing camera.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, giving up a couple features and specifications.
