Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, getting a 68.5 score against 61.7. Xperia Tablet Z's construction is heavier but thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and both were only released with a couple of months difference. These devices come with Android OS, but the Xperia Tablet Z has a newer 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1, so it provides some extra features and performance improvements.

The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a 400 MHz graphics processing unit, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a greater number of faster cores and more RAM memory. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot better 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution, more pixels per inch of display and a much larger display.

The Xperia Tablet Z takes slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, resigning some features and specifications.
