The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a global score of 68.4, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's 64.7 score. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a notably lighter tablet device than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, but both have the same thickness. Both tablets in this review use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has newer 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2 version, offering some nice extra features and better performance.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also counts with a higher pixels density. The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a greater hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a larger amount of RAM, a graphics co-processor and 2 more 1.6 gigahertz cpu cores.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a lot bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have a SD memory slot that supports up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has 32 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Note 8.0 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.

Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch counts with a really longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 4600mAh.

Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is also a lot cheaper, which makes it an obvious call.
