The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a global score of 65.9, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's 62.7 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a lighter and thinner tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, even when both were released with only 8 months difference. These tablets include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a more recent 4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a bit better processor than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have 2 processing cores and a 1 GB RAM, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also has an additional graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a screen that's just as good as the screen in Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, they have a display with the same size, a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a SD card slot that supports up to 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch also has 32 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. They have the same resolution camera in the back.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has just a little bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 6800mAh.
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is not only the best tablets in our current comparison, but it's also very cheap compared to the other tablets, making this tablet an obvious call.
