The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is slightly better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, having a global score of 66.5 against 60.8. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0's design is somewhat thicker but a little lighter than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and both of them were released only a couple of months apart.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and although they both have a 450 MHz GPU, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with an incredibly better display than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a lot better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a much better screen pixels density.
Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 features a very superior camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a much longer battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
