Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a general score of 67.4, which is slightly better than the Google Nexus 10's general score of 66.8. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has older 4.2.2 version and Google Nexus 10 has Android 5.1. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch body is thinner and extremely lighter than the Google Nexus 10, even when they were only released 7 months apart.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little faster CPU than Google Nexus 10, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with an additional GPU. Google Nexus 10 features a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot more pixels per display inch, a lot better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a bigger display.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Nexus 10, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB. The Google Nexus 10 counts with a much better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 9000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
Google Nexus 10 captures a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a 5 mega pixels resolution back camera, the Google Nexus 10 also has a much better 1920x1080 video definition.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Nexus 10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Nexus 10. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Nexus 10, giving up a couple specifications.
