The Google Pixel Slate has an overall score of 79.3, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's 68.7 global score. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch works with Android 4.2.2 operating system. Even though Google Pixel Slate is a lot heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, it's just a bit thinner and also extremely newer.
The Google Pixel Slate counts with a better looking display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot greater display pixel density, a way bigger screen and a much better 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution. Google Pixel Slate has a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little better processing power than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a graphics processing unit. Google Pixel Slate has a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 video quality and a way better resolution back-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a way better battery duration than Google Pixel Slate.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
