Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has an overall score of 75.8, which is better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's global score of 68.7. Despite being the best we compare here, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s body is much heavier and a little thicker than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. Both of these tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a much higher pixel amount per screen inch, a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a bigger screen. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s memory capacity for applications and games is just as good as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, they have a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 64 GB and exactly the same internal storage.
Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a slower GPU running at 450 megahertz, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), although it has a way less MP camera in the back and a lot worse (HD) video quality.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, letting go a couple specs and features.
