The Galaxy Note 8.0 has an overall score of 69.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's 68.7 overall score. Although it's the best in this comparison review, we must note that it's also a little bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 8.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides some nice extra features.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a 1064 megahertz GPU, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a higher amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. Both have a greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a same size screen and the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution.
The Galaxy Note 8.0's camera is very similar to the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, both have a back-facing camera with a 5 MP resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with much more storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 32 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features just a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 3 percent larger battery size.
Although Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Note 8.0, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, giving up some features and specifications.
