Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a global score of 68.7, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's score of 66.2. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is an older and just a bit heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but Samsung was able to build it a little thinner anyway. Both devices in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the older 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. They have a greater pixel quantity per screen inch, an equal 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and a display of the same size. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), and they both have the same RAM amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a faster GPU running at 1064 MHz.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery lifetime in Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a camera with lot more megapixels.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, resigning some features and specifications.
