The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a global score of 58.1, which is a little bit better than the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids's 57.5 score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 design is somewhat thinner than the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, although it's a lot heavier and was released 3 years before. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has older 3.0 version and Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1 version.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and GALAXY Tab 3 Kids count with extremely similar screens, and although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a better resolution of 800 x 1280px and a larger display, they both have a greater pixels number in each inch of display. Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both have a Dual-Core CPU.
Galaxy Tab 8.9's camera is just as good as GALAXY Tab 3 Kids's camera, both have the same resolution back-facing camera. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 56 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a really longer battery lifetime than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, letting go some specifications.
