The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD design is much newer and a lot thinner, but also heavier than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1 version.
