The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, having a score of 61.4 against 57.4. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s design has the same thickness than the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, but it's notably heavier. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has older 4.1 version while Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has Android 4.2.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a really smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both have a Dual-Core processing unit and a 1 GB RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity against 3600mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) captures way better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, because it has a much better 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with a way better 3 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
