Galaxy Note 8.0 is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, getting a score of 69.2 against 58.5. Galaxy Note 8.0's body is a little heavier but thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4 version, so it offers some nice extra features.
Galaxy Tab 3 V counts with a bit better screen than Galaxy Note 8.0, although it has a little bit smaller display, a just a little worse pixel density and a way lower resolution of 1024 x 600. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 64 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a greater performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a higher amount of RAM, an additional graphics processing unit and a higher number of cores. The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a way higher 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a much better 5 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with greater battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a 4600mAh battery size against 3600mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
