Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a global score of 67.8, which is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 global score. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, providing some additional features and performance tweaks. Although Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were only released with a couple of months difference, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 design is thinner but also way heavier.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a lot greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a better performing CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have 4 cores and a 450 megahertz GPU, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has 512 MB more RAM memory.

Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 captures a lot better photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a much better battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 costs more than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
