The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a global score of 69.2, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's score of 67.8. Both tablets in this comparison review use the same Android 4.4.2 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a incredibly lighter portable tablet than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but both of them are 0.31inches thick.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and Galaxy Note 8.0 both feature similar displays, because although the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit superior CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a faster GPU and a larger amount of RAM.
Galaxy Note 8.0 features as much storage capacity to install applications and games as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, both of them have exactly the same internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that supports up to 64 GB. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 48 percent larger battery capacity.
Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a way more mega pixels camera.
Although Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Note 8.0, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up some specifications.
