Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a score of 67.8 against 57.6. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has the older 4.4.2 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's body has the same thickness than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's a lot heavier.
