Galaxy Tab S8 has a score of 76.7, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's 65.6 overall score. These tablets use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab S8 has an older 13 version while Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2 version. Galaxy Tab S8's construction is newer and a lot thinner than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's, but it's heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a quite lower pixel count per inch of screen, a much smaller screen and a way worse 1280 x 800px resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a much powerful processor than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has 4 lesser CPU cores and a lower amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a way better 3840x2160 video definition and a camera in the back with way more mega pixels. The Galaxy Tab S8 has a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has an external memory card slot that holds up to 1 TB and 128 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab S8 features a superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has an 8000mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, giving up a couple features and specs.
