Google Nexus 9 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a global score of 74.5 against 66.2. These devices use Android operating system, but Google Nexus 9 has newer 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements. The Google Nexus 9 construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but it's a lot heavier.

Google Nexus 9 counts with a better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU and less CPU cores , it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and more RAM memory. Google Nexus 9 counts with a sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a little larger screen, a way better resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and much more pixels per inch of display.

Google Nexus 9 captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels and a way higher 1920x1080 video resolution. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a slightly bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 9, because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 64 GB.
