Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an overall score of 66.2, which is a little bit better than Huawei MediaPad M1's 61.5 general score. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2 version, giving you some additional features and some performance improvements. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a a little bit lighter tablet than the Huawei MediaPad M1, but they have the same thickness.
Huawei MediaPad M1 features a display that's just as good as the display in Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, both of them have a greater pixel quantity in each inch of screen, exactly the same 1280 x 800px resolution and a screen with the same size. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 16 GB internal storage and an external SD slot that admits up to 64 GB.
Huawei MediaPad M1's CPU is very similar to Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's processing unit, and although the Huawei MediaPad M1 has 512 MB less RAM memory and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, they both have the same number of cores. Huawei MediaPad M1 has a little longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 4800mAh battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, although it has a back camera with a way worse 3 megapixels resolution and a way lower 1280x720 (HD) video quality.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also a bargain compared to the other ones, which makes this tablet an obvious call.
