Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2, with a 66.2 score against 63.4. Even when Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the Microsoft Surface 2 were released with only 6 months difference, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is somewhat thinner and notably lighter. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 OS.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a slightly better display than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a little worse quantity of pixels per inch in the screen, a lot worse 1280 x 800px resolution and a lot smaller screen.
Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a way less megapixels resolution back facing camera and a lot worse (HD) video definition.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface 2.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also by far the cheapest, making this tablet a great choice.
