Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 3 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a general score of 66.3 against 66.2. Although the Microsoft Surface 3 is newer than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, it is just a little thicker and way heavier. Microsoft Surface 3 has just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface 3 also counts with more RAM memory.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a just a little worse pixels quantity in each inch in the display, a way smaller display and a lot worse 1280 x 800 resolution. Microsoft Surface 3 shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video resolution and a back camera with a lot higher resolution.
Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 3, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, giving up some features and specifications.
