Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a 69.2 score against 66.2. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 comes with Windows 8 OS, and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 OS. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is an older, incredibly thicker and a lot heavier device than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1280 x 800px, it also counts with a better pixels amount in each inch of screen.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a very superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5's processor is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 one, because although the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with more RAM memory.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5's camera is very similar to Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's camera, although the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 also has a way higher 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit longer battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a 9 percent greater battery size.
Although Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, resigning a couple specifications.
