Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a general score of 66.5, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's score of 66.2. Both devices in this review come with the same Android 4.4.2 OS (operating system). Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is older and notably thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, it's body is still a little bit lighter.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a better 1280 x 800 resolution, a just a little better amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a little bigger screen. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 count with quite similar storage to install applications and games, both have an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB and exactly the same internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 features a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, although it has 2 less cores , they both have a 450 MHz graphics processing unit and 1,5 GB of RAM. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a 4450mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. Both have the same resolution camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
