Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a global score of 68.7 against 66.2. These devices come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the previous 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is an older and a little heavier device than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but Samsung made it just a little thinner anyway.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. They have a display with the same size, exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800px and the same screen density. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 32 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have a 1,5 GB RAM, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a much better 1064 MHz GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a battery life that is very similar to the battery performance in Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a back camera with lot more MP.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, resigning some features and specs.
