Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a general score of 76.7 against 66.2. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has 11 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) body is extremely newer and just a little bit thinner, but a lot heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a higher number of cores (and also faster). Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), although it has a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800px, a just a bit less pixels per screen inch and a lot smaller display.
Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) features a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much more mega-pixels back camera and a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB and 112 GB more internal memory.

So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, giving up some specs and features.
