The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), having a 66.2 score against 65.7. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the previous 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 design is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), even though it was released many years before.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a sharper display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). They have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a display of the same size and the same screen density. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a much higher resolution camera in the back.
