Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, getting a global score of 66.2 against 60.7. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab E has Android 4.4 version, so it counts with some additional features and performance optimizations. Even though Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is older than the Samsung Galaxy Tab E, it's construction is way lighter and a bit thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab E, and although they both have the same number of cores and 1,5 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has an additional graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also counts with a just a little better count of pixels in each display inch.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a little bit better memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a SD extension slot that supports 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 8 GB more internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Tab E takes a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab E also has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
